Memory as a Living Matter Exhibition in Trieste

‘Memory as a Living Matter’: the 3rd show of my Vanitas for the B#SIDE War Vol.III project, organized by IoDeposito.

The opening of the Exhibition and talks with the Artists will take place on the 4th of February from 6 pm at the Sala Umberto Veruda (Piazza Piccola 1 – Trieste, Italy).

You can visit until the 5th of March, entry is free and visiting hours are from Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 15:30 to 18:30.

The artworks visibile at the exhibithion are from Man Ray, Nathalie Vanheuele, Boris Beja, Lang Ea, Cosima Montavoci, Claudio Beorchia, Luca Terenzi, Ana Mrovjle, Anitra Hamilton, Ilisie Remu.

“In whichever point of the exhibition the visitor will be, he will always be surrounded by a material universe in balance between the cold heaviness of the metals and of concrete, and the fragile evanescence of the graphite, and of organic elements such as bread and eggshells.
Playing a part in the reinterpretation of the war object into contemporary artworks made with war remains, and in artworks that materialise the unexpressed war legacies, the user is immersed in a multi-focal perception of history, whilst the time, gaiting under his eyes, blending into the artworks, disgregating and making them perish.”
